FOR COURAGEOUS DREAMERS

The history of Piasecki Design is a story of love – love for nature, travelling and beauty. We seek inspiration for the designs of our wooden furniture primarily during excursions to various parts of the globe. From our travels we bring fresh ideas and and later we turn them into reality. One of our key destinations is India, a mosaic of cultures, traditions and religions. Perpetually amazed by this country, we located our factory of exotic-style furniture here.

Our products can be described as nonconformist and definitely not a subject to a passing fancy. It is an effect of the designers’ imagination and creativity, intended for people who are open and curious about the world; for daring dreamers, who like to be surrounded with unique objects, furnishing their space in line with their character, that is: with passion. If these peculiar people wish to posses an original chest of drawers which they had seen during their travels, they are ready to bring it from across the globe – just for the sake of having one. Well, we understand that! We do not perceive them as mere whims, but as a oscillating desire to which one has to surrender. We help them to follow these dreams by offering furniture that had never been available on the market before. Furniture that reminds them of far away lands that also slowly become a thing of the past. We are also sentimental about Polish folklore and combine tradition with innovation.

Contemporary interior design likes to play with conventions and mixes various styles, inclining towards eclecticism. This combination of different aesthetics creates an artistic tension which characterises the most interesting interior designs. And that is where our furniture belongs.

RECLAIMED WOOD AND WOOD FROM MANGIFERA INDICA (MANGO TREE)

In a way, we go against the grain in a world where TIME is the only thing that matters. The manufacturing process of our furniture cannot be rushed – the wood has to grow old and acquire a layer of patina. Neither do we speed up this process, nor style the furniture to look old. The wood is authentic and if it has irregular traces of paint, it is a mark of the former life of the used raw material. We reclaim the wood and give it a new life. That is why every project is so unique – it has many histories. We only bring out its beauty, adjusting it to the needs of modern customers. Each chest of drawers or cupboard is different and does not come from mass production. The furniture is hand-made and therefore produced with the utmost attention to detail.

Due to the fact that Mangifera indica can be processed easily, we can achieve almost a jewelry-like ornamentation. The furniture looks delicate, and yet it is extremely durable, waterproof and solid. The mango wood looks rustical thanks to its coarse texture. It is either grey with a goldish tint or greenish-brown. Mangifera indica can grow up to 40 meters high and can be cut only after it produced fruit for the last time. Logging does not disturb the balance of the forest – after the old trees are cut, new ones are planted. Sustainable forest management exerts a positive impact on nature as well as the local community by providing work and thus influencing economy.
